Minnesota Catholic Youth Partnership (MCYP) is a party in a much-extended purchase agreement with Wilder Foundation to purchase a 600-acre parcel in the May Township Conservancy District to develop as an adventure camp. To strengthen their negotiating position with the Town of May on an updated conditional use permit, they are adopting an aggressive position on the activities allowed under existing use permits, dating from 1992 and amended in 2017. It appears that the degree to which MCYP will be allowed to develop the parcel to support their plans for the large adventure camp will determine whether they complete the actual purchase.
